Job summary

Webuild S.p.A. is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join the Future Generation Joint Venture on the Snowy 2.0 project in NSW, Australia.

You'll work with senior staff to run tests, analyse results, and report data findings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with health and safety protocols. Responsibilities include compiling data, labeling samples, maintaining lab storage, and supporting design and construction teams across the project.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualifications within Engineering, Geology, or a relevant Geoscience field.
• White Card
• Experience in Geological management systems and plans is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The lab assistant will compile data, transfer notes and recordings, and label, organise, and maintain samples.
• Take notes, record data, and results, and organise documentation.
• Transfer data and results from notes to computer formats.
• Organise and maintain lab storage, samples, and specimens.
• Follow health and safety regulations when handling laboratory specimens.
• Identify and label samples; prepare equipment and workspace.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties as needed.
• Compile research and information needed for study.
• Conduct laboratory tests, analyse, and categorise results.
• Record and document analysis results; report results to supervisor.
