Job summary

The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority is seeking a dynamic Geospatial Officer to join the Geospatial Services team. Based in Townsville, Cairns or Canberra, you will manage authoritative geospatial data, produce maps, and deliver spatial analysis to support planning, operations, and policy development.

You will provide GIS expertise across the organisation, help integrate spatial information into business processes, and work with stakeholders to ensure data informs outcomes in

Qualifications

Experience with ESRI GIS suite and map production.
Strong data management and spatial analysis skills.
Ability to translate user needs into geospatial outputs.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate geospatial datasets and products using ESRI software.
Produce static and interactive maps and cartographic materials.
Deliver analytical support for the Field Management Program.
Help colleagues use GIS with training and mapping tools.
Conduct spatial analysis to support operations and planning.
