Job summary

Macquarie Geotechnical is seeking a Graduate Geophysicist to work on road, rail and mine infrastructure across Australia, with travel to sites and based from our Sydney office. This full-time role supports surveys and data analysis across geophysics projects.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor degree in geophysics or geology, demonstrate numerical and analytical skills, teamwork, and proficiency with geophysical software. Valid Australian work rights and fitness screening are required.

Qualifications

Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively.
Ability to work in a team.
Familiar with geophysical acquisition and processing software.
Valid working rights in Australia.
Willingness to pass medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

Assist with collecting geophysical surveys including Seismic Refraction, MASW, Electrical Resistivity, Magnetics, GPR, and EM.
Undertake downhole geophysical logging surveys with a range of techniques.
Assist with processing, drafting, and reporting geophysical datasets.
Maintain and safely operate geophysical equipment.
