Macquarie Geotechnical is seeking a Graduate Geophysicist to work on road, rail and mine infrastructure projects across Australia, with a focus in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. The position is based out of our Sydney office with travel to onsite project work. This is a full-time role.

• Bachelor degree in Geophysics or Geology; strong numerical, analytical and observational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.
• Familiarity with geophysical acquisition and processing software listed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collection of geophysical surveys including Seismic Refraction, MASW, Electrical Resistivity, Magnetics, GPR, Electromagnetics.
• Undertake downhole geophysical logging surveys with various techniques.
• Assist with processing, drafting and reporting of geophysical datasets.
• Engage with maintenance and safe operation of geophysical equipment.
