Job summary

Macquarie Geotechnical is seeking Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists with 2–5 years of experience to join our team in Australia. Responsibilities include supervising drilling rigs, conducting geotechnical investigations and test pitting, and preparing factual reports.

Applicants should have a tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology and experience with gINT and Holebase, plus AS1726 knowledge. Teamwork and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering/ Engineering Geology.
• Knowledge and experience using gINT and Holebase.
• Understanding of AS1726 requirements.
• Minimum 2 years site investigation experience.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Numerical, analytical and observation skills.
• Ability to problem solve.
• An interest in developing both technical and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Assisting with geophysical investigations, includes seismic refraction, magnetic surveys, electrical resistivity, downhole imagery ATV/ OTV.
• Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues, subcontractor, sub-consultants and clients.
• Preparation of factual reports.

Macquarie Geotechnical is a Geotechnical Consulting / Drilling & Construction Materials Testing company working on road, rail and mining infrastructure projects throughout Australia. We maintain a fleet of modern drill rigs, support equipment and tools that are at the forefront of the industry.
