Job summary

Northern Star Resources invites applications for a Geology Technician at our Carosue Dam Operations. FIFO from Perth—8 days on, 6 days off—offers a strong site/home balance while you contribute to core processing, sampling, QAQC and field activities.

Reporting to the Geology Technical Supervisor, you will gain hands‑on experience with a professional team, helping manage diamond core, RC drill support, data entry and site safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Geology Technician or similar role, ideally with 6+ months of relevant site experience.
• Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent numeracy and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete meter marking, photographing, cutting and sample collection of diamond core in line with core processing priorities.
• Support RC drilling operations including sample collection and processing.
• Ensure accurate cataloguing and storage of diamond core in the core farm per procedures.
• Assist with drill site preparation and rehabilitation.
• Record GPS coordinates and complete collar mark‑ups.
• Manage geological data using Excel and Word; take on day‑to‑day duties as required.
