Job summary

Aurelia Metals Limited is seeking a Geological Field Technician to support exploration and mining at Federation Mine in NSW. You'll process drill core, record geological data and assist with sample preparation and dispatch, working alongside experienced geologists to help drive ore discovery and project development.

This role offers a 7/7 12-hour dayshift, DIDO travel from within 800km, and travel allowances, with a supportive team culture, safety focus and opportunities to build technical

Qualifications

• Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence.
• Experience using computers, data entry systems or databases.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Mark up drill core, including metre and orientation markings, accurately and consistently.
• Collect and record geological data and complete required data entry.
• Photograph and maintain accurate records of core trays.
• Cut drill core and collect samples as directed by the supervising Geologist.
• Manage drill core storage and retrieval to ensure samples and core are readily accessible.
• Ensure timely and accurate sample dispatch to assay laboratories.
