Job summary

Aurelia Metals Limited is seeking a Geological Field Technician to join the Federation Mine team in NSW. You will process drill core, collect geological data and assist with sample preparation and dispatch, gaining hands-on exposure to exploration and extraction activities.

This role offers a practical, detail-focused work environment, with daily 12-hour days for a 7/7 roster on site at Federation Mine, NSW. A strong team culture and long-term mining career development are emphasised.

Qualifications

• A current Australian C Class Driver's Licence.
• Experience using computers, data entry systems or databases.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment.
• The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Mark up drill core, including metre and orientation markings, accurately and consistently.
• Collect and record geological data and complete required data entry.
• Photograph and maintain accurate records of core trays.
• Cut drill core and collect samples as directed by the supervising Geologist.
• Manage drill core storage and retrieval to ensure samples are readily accessible.
• Ensure timely and accurate sample dispatch to assay laboratories.
