The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Geology with 5+ years in mining geology, including 3 years in a supervisory capacity. You will plan drilling programs, supervise contractors, and coordinate with production teams to optimize bauxite extraction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field.
• 5+ years in geology with 3+ years in mine geology.
• Supervisory experience is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of drilling sampling and grade control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design Grade Control drilling programs, including scheduling and implementation.
• Conduct geological sampling and pit inspections to manage grade and reserve recovery; assisting with horizon control and ensure efficacy is maintained in the grade control process.
• Supervise contractors during drilling and sampling of ore.
• Prepare daily mine feed plan, tracking ROM quality and stockpiles.
• Reconciliation of ore quality and variance tracking.
• Planning and conducting data review and communicating to engineering team and operations for the exploration and mining extraction of bauxite.
• Analyse production data to identify trends and optimize mining operations.
• Complete and communicate the weekly mine plan coordinated with other departments to ensure efficient use of resources and equipment.
• Prepare project budgets and schedules and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
