Job summary

NSW Health Pathology, Genetics Laboratory at Randwick, seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to work in Molecular and Cytogenetics with a range of specialised tests. You will support genetic diagnostics, participate in technology-enabled testing and collaborate with clinical teams to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in pathology services in Molecular and Cytogenetics.
• Experience using Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Systems.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines, working both in a team and autonomously.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver operational laboratory activities and coordinate scientific/technical training.
• Review, develop and ensure quality management of laboratory practices.
• Maintain compliance with operational and quality standards and drive process improvement.
