Job summary

NSW Health's Nepean Hospital is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the General Surgery team in a temporary role. You will provide high-quality nursing care across the perioperative and postoperative journey, working within a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and discharge planning.

The role requires current AHPRA registration, evidence-based practice, and flexibility to work day, evening or night shifts across the week. Applications close 16 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to provide person-centred, culturally appropriate nursing care.
• Ability to work a flexible roster, including day/evening/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care across perioperative and postoperative pathways.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Collaborate with medical, allied health and nursing teams and assist with discharge planning.
