Job summary

Join Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation in the remote community of Ramingining as a vocationally registered GP. You will participate in daily clinical routines, accept referrals from the health team, review patients with ongoing conditions, and document care using

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA and Fellowship of RACGP/ACRRM or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and sensitive communication.
• Extensive experience in General Practice.
• Working with Children clearance and criminal history check.

Responsibilities

• Active participation in daily clinical and health promotional routines.
• Accept referrals from other health team members.
• Review and follow‑up of patients with ongoing conditions.
• Use Communicare to identify care needs, initiate recalls and care plans, and document consultations.
• Practice according to CARPA guidelines and Miwatj protocols for chronic conditions.

What do you need to apply?

• Current registration with Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) and Fellow of the RACGP , ACRRM or equivalent.
• Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, values and beliefs.
• Demonstrated skills and ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues effecting the health and well being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contemporary society.
• Extensive experience in General Practice.
• Current Working with Children Clearance notice and undergo a criminal history check.
