What’s the role?

These roles involve working in remote Aboriginal communities and require a strong commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self‑determination, and culturally safe healthcare delivery. Experience in general practice and/or rural and remote healthcare is highly desirable.

Current vacancies:

• 1 Full‑time / FIFO position – Milingimbi
• 1 Part‑time / FIFO position – Ramingining
• 2 Full‑time / FIFO positions – Galiwin’ku

What do you need to apply?

• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) and Fellow of the RACGP, ACRRM or equivalent.
• Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, values and beliefs.
• Demonstrated skills and ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues effecting the health and well being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contemporary society.
