Job summary

Tungsten Mining is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead Watershed Operations in Queensland. You will own safety, production, maintenance and site services, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and drive strategic execution across mine-to-mill performance with a strong focus on risk management and value creation.

You are a mining leader with 20+ years’ experience, a Degree in Mining Engineering, and First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate, capable of steering large teams and contractors

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency.
• 20+ years of mining experience with leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland mining legislation.
• Proven safety and production accountability.

Responsibilities

• Leading all site operations to achieve production, cost, safety and performance targets
• Driving operational strategy, budgeting and mine-to-mill performance
• Providing clear operational leadership to senior site teams, contractors and key stakeholders
• Maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance and risk management
• Overseeing mining operations, maintenance, reliability and site services
• Supporting operational readiness, commissioning and ramp-up activities
• Building a culture of accountability, capability development and disciplined execution
• Reporting operational performance, risks and opportunities to executive leadership and the Board
