Job summary

Amiga Engineering Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a Manufacturing Manager with hands-on CNC expertise to coordinate daily CNC machining, fabrication and workshop activities. The role combines leadership with active floor involvement to ensure production runs efficiently and on schedule.

You will lead by example, mentor machinists and apprentices, manage workflows, and liaise with customers and suppliers while maintaining safety and quality standards across defence, aerospace, space and precision

Qualifications

• Strong practical background in CNC machining including programming, setting, and operating.
• Experience in managing workflow and coordinating staff to meet production targets.
• Knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate daily manufacturing activities.
• Assist with production workflow, priorities and delivery schedules.
• Provide technical guidance to machinists and apprentices.
• Read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
• Assist with CNC programming including multi-axis machining.
