Job summary

iStaff Australia is seeking a reliable Contract Cleaner / Labourer for a desalination plant in Kurnell. The role is a 3-month contract with strong potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include cleaning, housekeeping, bin management, basic gardening, and assisting tradespeople in a busy industrial setting. Candidates must be physically fit, safety-conscious and able to work in an environment with long shifts (10–12 hrs) across 5–6 days.

Qualifications

• Full Open Driver's Licence is required.
• Own transport is preferred (depot not accessible by public transport).
• Previous cleaning or labouring experience preferred.

• Clean buildings, site infrastructure and 30+ bins.
• Maintain the workshop and rigging shed.
• Perform general labouring duties and follow site safety procedures.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Contract Cleaner / Labourer to join our team at a desalination plant in Kurnell. This is an initial 3-month contract with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.

The role involves general site cleaning, housekeeping, bin management, light gardening and assisting tradespeople with maintenance tasks. The successful candidate must be physically fit, safety-conscious and comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clean buildings, site infrastructure and 30+ bins.

Maintain the workshop and rigging shed.

Perform general labouring duties and follow site safety procedures.

Assist tradespeople with tools, materials and maintenance tasks.

Selection Criteria:

• Full Open Drivers Licence
• Own transport (depot not accessible to public transport)
• Previous cleaning or labouring experience preferred.
• Physically fit, reliable and safety-focused.
