Job summary

iStaff Australia is seeking personnel for maintenance and industrial cleaning of fuel tanks, engine rooms and vessel compartments aboard Navy vessels. You will operate high-pressure water systems and assist with vacuum loading and waste removal, while adhering to safety protocols in confined spaces.

The role involves handling various industrial waste streams and requires a Safety-first mindset, ability to pass drug and alcohol tests, and relevant tickets.

Qualifications

• White Card is required.
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces.
• Clear National Police Check.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to perform hard manual labour.
• Willingness to obtain Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets.
• Will pass a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Clean compartments and industrial plant areas aboard Navy vessels.

Role

• Perform maintenance & industrial cleaning of fuel tanks, engine rooms, vessel


• Compartments and industrial plant areas aboard Navy vessels.


• Operate high-pressure water cleaning equipment (Gerni systems).


• Assist with vacuum loading operations and waste removal activities.


• Work safely within confined spaces and permit-controlled environments.
