Job summary

Whizdom is seeking a highly experienced GenAI Solution Architect in Melbourne to lead design and delivery of AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI and Generative AI technologies.

This hands-on consulting role combines solution architecture with technical coaching, building capabilities and uplifting analysts/engineers.

Qualifications

• 20+ years across data, analytics or software with senior consulting/advisory experience.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience including Data Factory, Synapse, OneLake, Power BI, Copilot and Data Agents.
• Solid Azure, Python, SQL and Spark/PySpark skills.
• Practical experience with LLMs, Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry, RAG and agent frameworks.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and AI solutions.
• Excellent communication across technical teams and executives.
• Highly desirable certifications: DP-600, DP-700, AI-102; Purview, MLOps and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Microsoft Fabric Data Agents and AI-enabled solutions.
• Define architecture across Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, Power BI and OneLake.
• Translate business challenges into AI use cases and roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and analysts through workshops, pairing and code reviews.
• Establish standards around AI governance, security, data quality and Responsible AI.
• Provide technical advice to leadership on AI priorities, risks and adoption.

We’re looking for a highly experienced GenAI Solution Architectto join a major enterprise environment, helping design and deliver AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI and Generative AI technologies.

This is a hands-on consulting role where you’ll act as both Solution Architect and technical coach, building AI solutions while uplifting the capability of analysts and engineers.
