Job summary

InLife is seeking a dedicated disability support worker in Geelong for regular shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and sleepovers. You will provide personal care, assist with household duties and participate in community access, while upholding dignity and independence for clients.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $46.65 on weekdays after induction, with salary packaging options to maximise take-home pay and a supportive, values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support or caring roles preferred.
• Willing to undergo required checks (NDIS Worker Screening, etc.).
• Vaccination against COVID-19 per policy and local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and domestic assistance to clients.
• Support with shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and sleepovers.
• Assist with transport using clients' vehicle and accompany activities.
• Support a regular physiotherapy program and day-to-day tasks.
• Medication management experience would be an advantage.

• Flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts, including sleepovers, active nights, daytime support and community access, as well as evening in-home support and household duties. You’ll also need to be committed to ongoing shifts more than twice a week.


• Patience, empathy and persistence, with a genuine willingness to invest the time and energy needed to build a strong rapport and trusting relationship with the client.


• Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disability to live fulfilling, independent and meaningful lives.


• A strong commitment to a care-team approach, working collaboratively with families and professionals and following guidance to support the client’s goals, for example, assisting with a regular physiotherapy program.


• Full drivers licence and be willing and comfortable with driving clients vehicle.


• Experience with personal care (showering and dressing) and assistance with domestic duties.


• Experience with medication management,catheter care, peg feeding, hoisting and bowel care would be an advantage but not essential.
