Job summary

InLife Independent Living Ltd in Victoria is seeking compassionate care workers to support clients with disability across Greendale, Kyneton, Heathcote and Bendigo. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, and help clients access community programs.

The role requires patience, good judgement, a valid driver's licence, and flexibility for varied shifts including sleepovers and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with a physical disability, including manual handling.

Responsibilities

To do a great job, you'll need:

• Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to our values
• Experience supporting people with a physical disability, including manual handling
• Experience with providing personal care
• Have great patience and be willing to put in the time and energy to build rapport with client
• Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives
• Commitment to working with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals. For example, supporting our clients to complete a regular physiotherapy program
• Full drivers licence and be willing and comfortable with driving clients vehicle
• Willingness to work varied shifts; sleepovers, day support including community access, in-home evening support with home duties required. We also need you to commit to ongoing shifts (more than twice weekly)
• We are looking to support clients based in Greendale, Kyneton, Heathcote, Bendigo
