Responsibilities

• Providing specialist inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology services
• Performing diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy
• Managing a broad range of complex gastrointestinal and liver disorders
• Supervising and mentoring Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and medical students
• Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical governance activities
• Contributing to service development, quality improvement and research initiatives
• Delivering outreach clinics to regional and remote communities, including occasional overnight travel
• Participating in the consultant on-call roster
