Mackay Base Hospital in Mackay, Queensland, seeks a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist to provide expert gastroenterology services across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings within a collaborative Department of Medicine.

The successful candidate will perform endoscopy procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, haemostasis, dilatation) and contribute to patient management plans in a supportive hospital environment.

Competenze

Specialist registration in Gastroenterology with the Medical Board of Australia, or eligibility for Specialist registration
Registration or imminent registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
Medical degree from a registered tertiary institution acceptable by AHPRA for registration
Fellowship via the RACP pathway with CPD and good standing per AHPRA

Mansioni

Provide gastroenterology services across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings
Manage acute inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics (general gastroenterology, liver disease, IBD)
Review emergency referrals and develop patient management plans
Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, haemostasis, dilatation)
