Job summary

Hancock Energy, a Hancock Prospecting subsidiary, seeks an experienced Project Engineering Manager to drive a major greenfield gas development in the Perth Basin, WA. You will coordinate detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover to operations, reporting to the Project Director.

The role requires a degree-qualified engineer with 20+ years in oil and gas, proven leadership of large teams, and deep knowledge of process safety and Australian standards.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer required in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or similar.
• Minimum 20 years' experience in oil and gas.
• Experience delivering major greenfield projects from FEED to start-up.
• Experience leading large engineering teams and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of process safety and Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and engineering contractors.
• Oversee design, technical assurance, process safety, and governance.
• Drive integration of multiple field developments, central processing facility and export pipeline.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and readiness activities.
• Ensure engineering outcomes are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Provide technical leadership to project management, operations, regulators, and stakeholders.
