Job summary

Stylerunner is seeking a Garment Technician to join our Sydney team, helping shape fit, quality and construction from design handover through bulk production.

You will collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production and offshore suppliers to ensure garments meet Stylerunner's standards, manage fit sessions and drive process improvements for faster time-to-market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Garment Technology, Technical Design or Product Development.
• Strong technical knowledge across womenswear, ideally with experience across activewear, sportswear, knits or stretch fabrics.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, grading and fit.
• Experience working directly with offshore suppliers.
• Confident conducting fit sessions and communicating technical feedback.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines.
• Strong technical specification and measurement skills.
• Experience using PLM/PDM systems and Microsoft Excel.
• A qualification in Fashion Technology, Patternmaking, Apparel Production or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical development of garments from design handover through to bulk production.
• Create and maintain tech packs, measurement charts, grading and construction specifications.
• Review samples and provide clear, detailed technical feedback to suppliers.
• Run fit sessions and manage fit comments and approvals.
• Identify and resolve fit, grading, pattern and construction issues.
• Review SMS, pre-production and shipment samples to ensure consistency and quality.
• Work closely with offshore suppliers to maintain technical and quality standards.
• Maintain fit standards, blocks and technical documentation.
• Partner with Design and Product Development to find practical solutions throughout the development process.
• Look for ways to improve development processes, reduce sample iterations and get product to market efficiently.
