Job summary

Elliatt is seeking an experienced Garment Technician to join our studio in Melbourne. You will own garment fit, measurements, grading and construction, ensuring our designs translate flawlessly from concept to production.

As part of a fast-paced fashion brand with an international footprint, you will work closely with Design and Production teams and overseas factories to deliver superior fit, finish and consistency across sizes, maintaining technical accuracy at every stage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Garment Technician/Technical Designer or equivalent role.
• Advanced knowledge of garment construction, fit, pattern development, grading and manufacturing techniques.
• Strong experience conducting fittings, measuring garments and preparing detailed technical comments.

Responsibilities

• Lead garment fittings and assess accuracy against specs.
• Prepare fit comments and measurement reports for overseas factories.
• Identify and resolve fit issues related to balance, proportion, silhouette and ease.
• Review patterns and construction details to ensure design intent.
• Communicate technical requirements clearly to factories.
