THE ICONIC is seeking a Garment Technician to join our Own Brand team in Sydney. You will create initial Tech Packs with design, measure garments, manage fit sessions, and liaise with suppliers to ensure fit, fabric and grading meet our standards.

You'll bring 3–4 years in a similar role in fast fashion, with education in design and pattern making. Strong knowledge of garment production and fabric testing, plus Excel and Outlook, will help you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years’ experience in a similar role ideal for fast fashion.
• Tertiary education in design, pattern making and grading.
• Strong knowledge of garment production processes, including pattern making, fit, quality control, and fabric testing.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality.
• Experience working across a variety of fabrics & categories.
• Knowledge of Excel and Outlook necessary.
• Excellent understanding of critical path and timelines, with time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Create initial tech packs with design collaboration for sample development, including construction instructions, measurements and fabric requirements.
• Measure garments and provide feedback on quality and fit against THE ICONICS standards.
• Organise and lead fit sessions to ensure consistent fit and sizing.
• Support designers with fabric, garment construction and performance knowledge.
• Liaise daily with suppliers in China on fit comments, re-fits, fabrics, finishes and grading.
• Approve fabric test reports.
• Approve final bulk garment inspections as per guidelines.
• Analyze styles with high return rate to improve fit and quality.
• Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and maintain high quality.
