Job summary

Technical Horticultural Concepts in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a dedicated garden maintenance assistant to join our small, family-run team. The role covers on-site landscape maintenance, weed control, bed care, leaf blowing and pruning across sites around Sydney.

You will report to the supervisor and contribute to high standards of hygiene and safety. Candidates with a horticulture qualification are preferred and apprentices are welcome.

Qualifications

• Horticulture or similar qualification is desirable.
• Apprentices are welcome to apply.
• Driver's licence (manual) required.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, weeding, edging, pruning, planting, and hedging on site.
• Litter removal and weed control.
• Garden bed maintenance.
• Leaf blowing and mulching.
• Herbicide application as required.

Technical Horticultural Concepts – Sydney CBD NSW

We are a small, family-run property maintenance company based in Earlwood on Sydney's Inner West and with work all over Sydney.

• Fulltime position with the potential to continue as a permanent ongoing position dependent on performance.
• Pay is negotiable dependent on experience
• Mobile phone with phone plan and tablet for providing quotes to clients included in package
• Uniform and PPE to be provided
• Credit card available for materials and job supplies

The successful applicant will report to the supervisor and will be responsible for general garden maintenance including but not limited to:

• landscape maintenance activities as required on site, for example mowing, weeding, edging, pruning, planting, and hedging
• litter removal and weed control
• garden bed maintenance
• leaf blowing and mulching
• herbicide application

Successful applicant:

• have a horticulture or similar qualification desirable, apprentices are welcome to apply
• have previous work experience in the industry preferred but not a must
• have keen eye for detail and passion for the job
• be able to work autonomously with minimal guidance
• be able to communicate well with clients
• be able to demonstrate compliance with WHS requirements and risk management practices
• be good with ladders up to 14 feet
• be capable of soft landscaping
• be able to work all over Sydney
• be physically fit, reliable, honest, punctual and hard working
• own UTE, tools and insurance preferred but can supply all with different pay package
• have a current and valid manual full driver’s licence.
• be able to provide two references from previous work experience in the industry
• be able to provide a police check.
