Responsibilities

• Perform general garden maintenance tasks such as weeding, pruning, mulching, and planting.

Location:

Servicing Central Coast, and Sydney areas including North Shore, Northern Beaches, and Hills District Areas

Job Summary:

No experience needed. We are seeking a Gardener to join our small yet growing team and provide exceptional gardening services to clients on the Central Coast, and Sydney areas including Hills District, North Shore, and Northern Beaches areas (on a casual basis with generous hours to begin with and the potential to move to full time). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are visually pleasing and in optimal condition. We service a range of clients including private residential properties, aged care clients, and strata-based complexes. Successful applicant must have a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general garden maintenance tasks such as weeding, pruning, mulching, and planting.
• Mow and edge lawns to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
• Hedge trimming and shaping to ensure healthy growth and a well-kept appearance.
• Watering and fertilizing plants according to their specific needs.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalised gardening solutions.
• Safely use pesticides and herbicides as needed.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including time spent on each task and materials used.
• Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.

Skills / Attributes:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in garden maintenance and landscaping as well as knowledge of horticulture, and plant care is preferred but is not essential.
• Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous outdoor tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to gardening and landscaping.
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
• Honest, diligent, and reliable.

Working Conditions:

• This is a casual employment position with flexible working hours based on business demands.
• Work is outdoors, subject to varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work on uneven terrain.
• Must be OK to undergo a Police Background check (as we work with Health and Community Care agencies who will require these checks to be conducted prior to servicing their clients).
