Qualifications

• 3+ years of gardening or horticultural experience required.
• Strong knowledge of garden maintenance, plant care, and landscaping techniques.
• Ability to operate a variety of gardening equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks.
• Ability to perform very heavy lifting (25kg+) as needed.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Formal horticulture qualifications are required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning.
• Plant and care for ornamental plants, trees, and shrubs.
• Apply mulch, fertilisers, and soil amendments to promote plant health.
• Identify and address plant health issues.
• Keep gardens and landscapes clean, tidy, and presentable.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Travel between client sites with a current provisional or full driver’s licence.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Gardener to join our team at Grace Gardens Horticultural Services' in Brisbane. This is a casual position, allowing you to maintain a flexible work schedule. As a Gardener, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the beautiful gardens and landscapes we manage throughout the local area.

What you'll be doing

• Performing regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning
• Planting and caring for a variety of ornamental plants, trees, and shrubs
• Applying mulch, fertilisers, and other soil amendments to promote plant health
• Identifying and addressing plant health issues
• Ensuring gardens and landscapes are kept clean, tidy, and presentable
• Providing exceptional customer service to our clients
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Travelling between client sites throughout the local area with a current provisional or full driver's licence
• Must hold either a current provisional or full driver's licence for travelling between client sites

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 3+ years of gardening or horticultural experience is required
• Strong knowledge of garden maintenance practices, plant care, and landscaping techniques
• Ability to operate a variety of gardening equipment and tools safely and efficiently
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks
• Ability to perform very heavy lifting tasks of 25kg or more as required for manual labour duties
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Relevant qualifications in horticulture or a related field would be highly regarded
• Formal horticulture qualifications are required at the time of application
