Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a dedicated grounds team member to maintain and enhance green spaces across commercial sites and council-controlled areas around Melbourne's Northwest suburbs. This permanent full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule and outdoor, hands-on work.

You will operate equipment safely, perform routine maintenance, and adhere to safety protocols while delivering high-quality groundskeeping.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on gardening experience is essential.
• A qualified Horticulturist or Parks & Gardens qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Must have a Manual Driver Licence (Class C).
• Traffic management experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Ensure outdoor spaces are maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with other groundskeeping tasks as needed.

About The Role

As a member of the Garden Maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across our various commercial sites or council-controlled roadsides and open spaces.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.

• Operate various equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Ensure open spaces are maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with other groundskeeping tasks as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

About You

• Previous hands-on gardening experience is essential
• A qualified Horticulturist or Parks & Gardens qualification (preferred, not essential)
• Must have a Manual (C) Drivers Licence
• Traffic management experience preferred but not required
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
