Job summary

Green by Nature AU is seeking Experienced Gardeners & Mowers to assist with garden maintenance across Melbourne's South-East suburbs. This full-time depot-based role starts Monday to Friday and includes PPE and uniforms.

You will work hands-on on parks and open spaces, performing hedging, pruning, planting and mulching while safely operating hand tools and petrol gear under guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping or gardening is preferred.
• Current licences and checks are desirable (driver’s licence, police check, WWC).
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hedging, weeding, pruning, planting and mulching.
• Operate hand tools and petrol gear safely under supervision.
• Load/unload materials, plants and equipment from vehicles.
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols for a safe work environment.

About the Role

We are looking for Experienced Gardeners & Mowers to assist with various tasks related to garden maintenance. This hands-on role working on some incredible parks & open spaces across Melbourne's South-East suburbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with garden maintenance tasks such as hedging, weeding, pruning, planting, and mulching.
• Operate hand tools such as hedgers, blowers and whipper snippers and petrol gear such as push mowers and ride on plant equipment safely and effectively under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Load and unload materials, plants, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.

About You

You have a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards. Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field will be highly regarded.

Qualification in Cert 3 in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens or equivalent (preferred)

You have a current driver's licence, National Police Check (or willing to obtain) and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).

This role can be physically demanding, and you must have the ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel and stand for extended periods.
