Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Digital BIM Lead for Building Services to drive BIM execution planning and digital coordination across multiple Australian offices. You will embed consistent standards and lead multidisciplinary coordination with internal teams and external consultants.

The role emphasizes advanced Revit skills, tool evaluation, and delivering high-quality BIM outputs across Defence, Health, Education and Transit sectors.

Qualifications

Digital BIM Lead – Building Services

Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other AECOM offices in Australia.

• Lead BIM execution planning and digital coordination across Building Services projects, embedding consistent standards and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Direct clash detection and model coordination processes, upholding BIM standards and ISO19650 principles across design and construction phases.
• Guide the evaluation and implementation of digital tools and emerging technology, driving improved efficiency and delivery outcomes across the portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project-based BIM teams, ensuring consistent quality and coordination outcomes regardless of project scale.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external consultants, aligning digital delivery with broader project and client objectives.
• Work across key sectors including Defence, Health, Education, Sport & Culture, Transit and Building projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualifications or industry experience in Building Services, with a background in mechanical, fire or hydraulic disciplines highly regarded.
• Proven experience in BIM coordination and digital delivery within the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with working knowledge of coordination platforms such as Revizto and Navisworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary coordination processes.
• Given the nature of some projects, Australian Citizenship is preferred, with current defence clearance highly regarded.
