Job summary

Australian Venue Co. is seeking experienced Gaming Managers to oversee gaming operations across Southeast Queensland venues, including Springlake Hotel and Mihi Tavern. You will lead daily gaming activities, drive revenue, and ensure top-tier guest experiences with strict compliance.

You will manage the gaming room, coach the team, and work with the Venue Manager to deliver strong commercial results. Queensland RSA/RSG, RMLV or equivalent approvals are expected or pursued.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Gaming Manager or senior gaming team member
  • Strong understanding of gaming performance and KPIs
  • Knowledge of Queensland gaming compliance and responsible gambling requirements
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop a team
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Hands-on leadership style
  • Willingness to obtain required licenses/certifications

About the role

As Gaming Manager you will take ownership of gaming operations within the venue, working closely with the Venue Manager to deliver strong commercial results, excellent guest experiences and consistently high compliance standards.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and performance of the gaming room at your venue. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading daily gaming operations and maintaining a strong floor presence
  • Driving gaming revenue, performance and agreed KPIs
  • Reviewing results and identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Supporting gaming promotions and customer engagement initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with Queensland gaming legislation and responsible gambling requirements
  • Maintaining harm-minimisation and self-exclusion procedures
  • Managing operational audits, cash controls and reporting
  • Recruiting, training, coaching and developing gaming team members
  • Working closely with the Venue Manager and broader leadership team
  • Delivering a welcoming and responsible experience for every guest
About you

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience as a Gaming Manager, Gaming Supervisor or senior gaming team member
  • Strong commercial understanding of gaming performance and KPIs
  • Sound knowledge of Queensland gaming compliance and responsible gambling requirements
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team
  • Strong communication, organisation and customer-service skills
  • A hands-on leadership style
  • Flexibility to work peak trading periods, including evenings and weekends
  • Current Queensland RSA and RSG certificates
  • Current RMLV and Approved Manager approval, or willingness to obtain them
  • A current Gaming Nominee licence, or eligibility and willingness to obtain it
  • Customer Liaison Officer experience is desirable but not essential
