Torrens University Australia Limited is seeking a Future Student Communications Coordinator in Sydney to manage hands‑on email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You’ll code responsive emails, manage journeys and automate communications from enquiry to enrolment.
You will work with Marketing and Technology teams, applying data-driven segmentation and optimization to improve student outcomes and campaign performance.
Who We Are At Torrens University Australia, we believe education should connect people with opportunity and prepare them for real life. Our Future Students team plays an important role in helping prospective students move from initial enquiry through to application and enrolment. Behind that journey sits a sophisticated communications and marketing automation environment that ensures students receive the right information at the right time. We’re looking for a Future Student Communications Coordinator to join the team and help manage the operational and technical side of those communications.
This is a hands‑on role sitting at the intersection of marketing automation, communications and technology. You’ll work within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to build, code, test and deliver communications across the future student journey — from first enquiry and event registration through to application and enrolment. You’ll work closely with Future Students, Marketing and Technology teams to transform campaign briefs into reliable, targeted and engaging communications. This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys the technical side of marketing: building HTML emails, working with audience data, troubleshooting rendering issues, creating automation and using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver personalised journeys at scale.
You’re comfortable combining technical skills with marketing communications and enjoy turning briefs into working campaigns.
You don’t need to know every answer immediately, but you’re resourceful, curious and confident researching solutions when something unfamiliar comes up.
You’ll bring:
Hands‑On Email Coding Skills Strong HTML experience for responsive email templates, including the ability to diagnose and resolve rendering issues across different email clients and devices.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Experience Practical experience administering and configuring Salesforce Marketing Cloud and building communications within the platform.
SQL & AMPscript Capability Strong SQL skills for segmentation, data extensions and audience queries, plus AMPscript capability for dynamic content and personalisation.
Marketing Automation Understanding Experience creating customer journeys, triggered communications, nurturing programs and campaign automation.
Strong Organisation & Communication You can manage competing priorities, work to deadlines and communicate confidently with Marketing, Future Students, Technology and other stakeholders. Experience with CSS, front‑end development, media queries, dark‑mode coding or email‑client‑specific coding techniques will be highly regarded. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification and Salesforce Lightning experience are also advantageous.
This is an opportunity to work in a role where technology and communication directly influence the future student experience. You’ll help manage communications across multiple brands and audiences, supporting prospective students from their first interaction with us through to enrolment. You’ll also work in a collaborative and multicultural team where people share ideas, solve problems together and are encouraged to keep learning. The environment is fast‑moving, and priorities can sometimes change quickly. We’re looking for someone who enjoys that pace, can respond calmly when urgent communications arise and is comfortable finding solutions rather than waiting for them.
