Job summary

The Citco Group Limited in Sydney is seeking an SVP of Private Assets Fund Accounting to lead a high‑performing team delivering complex fund accounting services for private assets clients. You will drive people leadership, client engagement, and operational excellence to ensure outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with client expectations.

This senior role focuses on building strong client relationships, improving efficiency, and guiding continued development of the fund accounting function

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in private assets fund accounting.
• Experience leading teams in a fund accounting or financial services environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

As SVP of Private Assets Fund Accounting, you will lead a team delivering fund accounting services to a portfolio of private assets clients. This role brings together people leadership, client engagement, and operational oversight, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and consistent. You will help build strong client relationships while driving improvements in how services are delivered.

• Oversee fund accounting delivery, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are met
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted point of contact
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality
• Share knowledge and support team development
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery
• Contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives
• Support business development activities, including client discussions and presentations

Qualifications

About You:

• Experience in private assets, ideally with some exposure to private credit and a commitment to continuous learning
• Experience leading teams in a fund accounting or financial services environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a structured way
• A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing others
• 12+ years experience in private assets fund accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (or working towards one) is advantageous
• Experience managing and developing teams
