Job summary

Waratah Recruitment Partners is seeking a Vice President to oversee accounting for real asset funds and managers in Sydney. You will lead financial reporting, audits, and client relationships while driving process improvements and team development.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Accounting/Finance with professional qualifications and have 4+ years in fund administration or audit, with IFRS/US GAAP knowledge. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in fund administration, accounting, or audit with at least 4 years in Real Assets.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Proven leadership experience, having managed or led teams for 4+ years.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• Project management experience with a track record of driving change.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with real estate systems such as Yardi or MRI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support new fund launches, from reviewing key documents to setting up structures on internal systems
• Oversee financial reporting, including NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, and financial statements
• Manage the external audit process and ensure adherence to IFRS/US GAAP
• Conduct client risk assessments and maintain strong client relationships
• Monitor service levels and present regular performance reviews
• Lead process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Supervise and develop a team across multiple locations, including hiring, coaching, and performance management

About the Role
