Profusion Group is seeking a Fund Analyst in Sydney to join its Operations team. You will manage treasury activities, cash management and fund operations across private markets, working with administrators and investment teams.

The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio and a clear path to broader fund operations responsibilities. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in treasury or fund accounting, a Finance/Accounting/Economics degree, strong reconciliation skills and proficient Excel.

• 1-3 years' experience in treasury, cash management, fund accounting, management accounting, banking operations or related financial services role.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel capability.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn within private markets.

Responsabilidades

• Treasury & Cash Management: prepare monthly management accounts; develop budgets and cash-flow forecasts; analyse expenses and fund performance; support financial reporting and internal controls.
• Fund Operations: support NAV oversight, reconciliation reviews, investor reporting; assist with audits and financial statements.
• Process Improvement & Controls: identify efficiency opportunities; maintain treasury procedures and controls; monitor exceptions and risk processes.

Fund Analyst / Fund Accounting ($90,000 - $110,000 + Super)

• A growing alternative investment manager is seeking a Fund Analyst to join its Operations team in Sydney.
• This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional looking to build specialist experience in treasury, cash management and fund operations within a sophisticated private markets environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure across a diverse portfolio of alternative investment strategies and work closely with senior operations professionals, investment teams, administrators and banking counterparties.
• This role offers a clear pathway into broader fund operations responsibilities as experience and capability develop.

About the Opportunity:

• Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in managing treasury activities across a range of private market and alternative investment vehicles. The role combines hands‑on cash management responsibilities with exposure to fund operations, administrator oversight and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury & Cash Management

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports for the business and its investment entities.
• Developing annual budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and financial projections.
• Analysing budget variances, operating expenses, management fees and fund performance.
• Preparing financial analysis and recommendations for senior management.
• Reviewing fund accounting reconciliations and financial information prepared by external administrators.
• Supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting, audits and statutory reporting obligations.
• Developing financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and internal financial controls.
• Analysing financial risks, costs and profitability across investment structures.

Fund Operations:

• Support NAV oversight and validation processes with external fund administrators.
• Assist with reconciliation reviews, management fees and investor reporting.
• Support quarterly and annual reporting, audits and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain fund static data and operational records.

Process Improvement & Controls

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate operational processes.
• Assist in maintaining treasury procedures, controls and documentation.
• Monitor exceptions and support operational risk management processes.

You will ideally have:

• 1-3 years' experience in treasury, cash management, fund accounting, management accounting, banking operations or a related financial services role.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel capability.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive mindset with a desire to learn and develop within private markets.
• Exposure to funds management, custody, investment operations or alternative assets will be viewed favourably but is not essential.
