Functions, Bookings & Events Co-ordinator

You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end booking and event coordination process, from the initial enquiry through to event execution and post-event follow-up. Working closely with the directors and venue management team, you will play an important role in driving function revenue, converting enquiries into confirmed bookings, developing corporate relationships and ensuring every event reflects the quality and reputation of Bar 1806.

Key responsibilities

Manage all private function and event enquiries across email, telephone, website and social media

Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally

Conduct client consultations to understand event requirements and expectations

Prepare and distribute tailored function packages, proposals and quotations

Proactively follow up leads and outstanding proposals to maximise booking conversions

Manage bookings, deposits, payments and client communications

Maintain accurate booking calendars, client records and event documentation

Coordinate private functions from initial enquiry through to event completion

Prepare detailed event orders, function sheets and run sheets

Liaise with management, bar staff, floor staff and kitchen teams to ensure seamless execution

About you

Previous experience in hospitality, functions, events, bookings or customer service

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities

Confidence handling sales enquiries, preparing quotations and following up leads

Exceptional organisation and time management

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Professional presentation and a positive, approachable attitude

Proficiency in email, spreadsheets and booking management systems

Ability to work independently and take initiative
