Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited, Levy division, invites applications for a fully funded Apprenticeship in Commercial Cookery at Melbourne Park, Australia's premier sports and entertainment precinct. You will train while cooking for international crowds at world-class events including the Australian Open.

As an Apprentice Chef you’ll rotate across sections, assist senior chefs, and complete a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with scheduled TAFE days.

Qualifications

• Candidate has genuine passion for food and cooking.
• Excellent teamwork and communication in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Willingness to work event-based rosters including evenings, weekends, and major events.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with daily prep, station service, knife work, food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
• Learn and practice high-volume production across diverse culinary sections.
• Deliver high-quality food for corporate suites and major events while completing training.
