Job summary

MRAEL is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Chef for the Australian Turf Club at Royal Randwick Racecourse. You’ll learn from qualified chefs in a busy kitchen, gaining hands-on experience while working full-time and earning a wage.

Train toward the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, receive a full uniform and toolkit, and enjoy mentoring with six‑weekly check‑ins. Eligibility includes Australian permanent residency or NZ passport.

Qualifications

• Good communication and a willingness to learn.
• Ready to begin an apprenticeship in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of dishes.
• Operate kitchen equipment under supervision.
• Learn different knife and cooking techniques.
• Clean, maintain and store kitchen equipment appropriately.
