Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer in Sydney to join a high-performing team building a centralized data platform across complex domains. You will create intuitive frontend applications and scalable backend microservices powered by modern data technologies.

The role involves working on cloud-native solutions, containerised workloads in Kubernetes, and deploying AWS components via CloudFormation.

Qualifications

• Proficient in React.js, Python, SQL, and Airflow.
• Strong CI/CD experience (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, ArgoCD).
• Strong understanding of Secure by design principles.
• Experience building containerised apps and managing workloads in Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying AWS components with CloudFormation (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Designing and building microservices architecture.

FULLSTACK ENGINEER

• 6 Month Contract

• 2-3 days/week in Sydney CBD Office

THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join a high performing engineering team responsible for developing a centralised data platform across complex business domains. In this role, you will work on challenging data management and relationship mapping problems, building intuitive frontend applications and scalable backend microservices powered by modern data technologies. You'll be involved in designing and delivering cloud native solutions, leveraging containerised and serverless architectures to support highly available and performant systems. The team embraces AI assisted development practices, enabling engineers to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards of code quality and engineering excellence.

MUST HAVES

• Proficient in React.js, Python, SQL, and Airflow
• Strong CI/CD experience e.g. GitHub, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, ArgoCD
• Strong understanding of Secure by design principles
• Building containerised applications and managing container workloads in Kubernetes
• Building, deploying, and maintaining AWS components using CloudFormation e.g. EC2, S3, IAM, Lambdas, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB
• Designing and building microservices architecture

BONUS POINTS

• Ability to accelerate delivery / output with AI e.g. Claude Code, Copilot
• Experiene working in monitoring and observability tools e.g. Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch
