Job summary

Rooms with Style in Geelong, VIC seeks a patient‑focused vascular sonographer to join our ultrasound clinic alongside two experienced vascular surgeons. The role can be full‑time or part‑time (job share) and requires your ultrasound expertise and excellent clinical communication.

You will conduct vascular ultrasound examinations, produce high-quality images and reports, maintain records, and support diagnostic decision making.

Qualifications

• ASAR Accreditation is mandatory.
• Experience in vascular ultrasound is preferred but not essential.
• Strong patient-centred care and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound examinations and obtain high-quality images.
• Produce detailed, diagnostically useful reports.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Coordinate with vascular surgeons to support diagnostic decisions.
• Manage scan schedules to ensure timely patient flow.

Aboutus:

We are a newlyopenedVascularSurgerywith a dedicatedultrasound clinic.Our two Vascular Surgeons arealreadyestablishedin the Geelong and Melbourne area.

About you:

This is a newly created role within our practice, and we are seeking either one full‑time sonographer or twopart‑time sonographers to join our team. Whilepreviousvascular laboratory experience is preferred, it is not essential. Your minimum one year of sonography experience, combined with a proactive, positive, and patient‑focused approach, will ensure our patients feel supported throughout their medical journey.

You will have a genuine interest in working closely with Vascular Surgeons and will be upskilled as youassistthem in their clinical work.We arelooking forsomeone who isseekingalonger termopportunity and the chance to grow with the practice.

Our preferred candidate will have experience in the following:

• Delivering exceptional customer serviceand clinical careat all times
• Performing vascular ultrasound examinations
• Producinghigh qualitydiagnostic images and measurements
• Preparing detailed clinically relevant reports
• Communicating with patients in a calm reassuring manner
• Managingpatients with mobility issues,painor anxiety
• Providing strict confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
• Maintainingequipment care and quality assurance
• Workingclosely with the vascular surgeons to support diagnostic decision making
• Managingscan schedules efficiently and ensuringtimelypatient flow
• Maintainingaccuratepatient records and documentation
• Willingness toassistinintra-proceduralultrasoundswiththe surgeons

You will have one of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Medical Ultrasound OR
• Graduate Diploma of Medical UltrasoundOR
• Masters of Medical Ultrasound
• ASAR Accreditation (mandatory)
• Graduate Diploma in Vascular Sonography
• Police Check – current
• Working withChildren– current

Hours:

Full Time

Monday 8:30am till 5:00pm (30 minuteunpaid lunch)
Tuesday to Friday 9:00am till 5:00pm (30 minuteunpaid lunch)

OR

Part time – job share

Two or three days per week, with the above hours. Equalling to afull timeequivalent role.

Pay rate:

$85.00 to $110.00per hourplus super
