Job summary

The City of Whittlesea is seeking a Roadside Mowing and Maintenance Operator to join the Rural Amenity team. You will operate tractors, mowers and other plant, vehicles and equipment to maintain council roadsides and vegetation.

Essential experience includes hands-on operation of mowing equipment in roadside or civil environments, herbicide application, and current MR licence. You will work with a team to deliver safe, efficient services and support seasonal works and emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Solid work ethic and reliability.
• Hands-on experience operating mowing equipment or similar machinery.
• Experience in roadside and vegetation maintenance.
• Current MR driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, mowers and other plant, vehicles and equipment.
• Perform herbicide application and vegetation control activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of roadsides and council infrastructure.
• Support seasonal works, emergency response and broader maintenance activities.
• Work with your team to deliver safe and efficient services.
