United Chemists West Mackay is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist in Charge to lead daily operations and support a patient‑focused team in the Mackay region. You will oversee dispensing, provide clinical advice, and ensure high standards of service in a community pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent).
• Current General Registration with AHPRA.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to work weekends on a rotating roster.
• Prepared to work as pharmacist in charge at times (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations as PIC.
• Ensure safe dispensing of medications.
• Provide professional healthcare advice and counselling.
• Deliver vaccination and other clinical services where applicable.
• Manage dispensary workflow for efficiency and compliance.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy legislation and company policies.
• Build strong relationships with customers and local healthcare providers.
• Support achievement of service, care, and business objectives.

As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring professional standards are maintained while supporting your team to provide outstanding customer care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Pharmacist Manager and team in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Ensuring the accurate and safe dispensing of medications
• Providing professional healthcare advice and counselling patients on the quality use of medicines
• Delivering professional pharmacy services, including vaccinations and other clinical services where applicable
• Managing dispensary workflow to ensure efficient and compliant operations
• Maintaining compliance with all pharmacy legislation, professional standards, and company policies
• Building strong relationships with customers and local healthcare providers
• Supporting the achievement of pharmacy service, professional care, and business objectives
