Job summary

United Chemists West Mackay is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist in Charge to lead our friendly, patient-focused team and ensure the highest standards of care in our community pharmacy.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure accurate and safe dispensing, provide professional healthcare advice, counselling patients on medicines, and deliver vaccinations and other clinical services where applicable. You’ll work in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) is required.
• Current General Registration with AHPRA is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
• Ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medications.
• Provide professional healthcare advice and counselling to patients.
• Deliver vaccinations and other clinical services where applicable.

As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring professional standards are maintained while supporting your team to provide outstanding customer care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Pharmacist Manager and team in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Ensuring the accurate and safe dispensing of medications
• Providing professional healthcare advice and counselling patients on the quality use of medicines
• Delivering professional pharmacy services, including vaccinations and other clinical services where applicable
• Managing dispensary workflow to ensure efficient and compliant operations
• Maintaining compliance with all pharmacy legislation, professional standards, and company policies
