Job summary

Swan Transit Bunbury is seeking a skilled Panel Beater/Body Builder to join our local workshop team. You’ll help keep our bus fleet in top condition, performing panel beating, body repairs, replacement manufacturing, and basic fabrication.

We value pride in workmanship and a collaborative, safety‑minded approach. A recognised trade qualification and a C class licence are required, with opportunities to grow in bus body work within a supportive regional employer.

Qualifications

• A recognised trade qualification as a Panel Beater, Body Builder Fabricator, or similar trade.
• Experience in Light vehicle panel beating will be highly regarded.
• Interest in developing skills in bus body work, fabrication, and panel manufacturing.
• Good welding and fabrication skills, or willingness to develop them.
• Current C class driver’s licence or higher.
• Positive, team‑focused attitude and commitment to safety.
• Ability to meet pre-employment requirements including medical and police clearance.

Swan Transit is looking for a skilled and motivated Panel Beater/ Body Builder to join our friendly Bunbury workshop team.

You don't need to come from a bus or a heavy vehicle background. If you're a qualified Light Vehicle Panel Beater with a good eye for detail and an interest in developing your skills, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity to use the skills you already have while developing your experience in bus body work, steel fabrication, panel manufacturing and panel replacement.

What you'll be doing:

Working as part of our Bunbury workshop team, you'll help keep our bus fleet looking and operating at their best. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Panel beating and body repairs.
• Panel manufacturing and replacement.
• Accident repairs and general body repairs.
• Minor fabrication work in steel
• Completing vehicle pre-inspections to ensure licensing requirements.
• Working safely and following company policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as per the positions JDF.

What we're looking for:

You'll need:

• A recognised trade qualification as a Panel Beater, Body Builder Fabricator, or similar trade.
• Experience in Light vehicle panel beating will be highly regarded.
• An interest in developing your skills in bus body work, fabrication, and panel manufacturing.
• Good welding and fabrication skills, or a willingness to develop them.
• A current C class driver's licence or higher.
• A positive, team-focused attitude.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safely.
• The ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including a medical assessment and National Police Clearance.
