George & Matilda Eyecare in Canberra is seeking a Full-Time Optical Dispenser to support two established practices, Andrew Watkins Optometrist and Evans & McMahon Optometrists. You will help patients choose frames and lenses, build product knowledge, and deliver outstanding care across both sites.

About the Role

Working across both Andrew Watkins Optometrist and Evans & McMahon Optometrists, you will:

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their lifestyle, vision needs, and personal style
• Develop strong product knowledge and confidently recommend optical solutions
• Deliver exceptional customer service and patient experiences
• Support dispensing, adjustments, repairs, and general optical services
• Assist with practice administration and day-to-day operations
• Work collaboratively with Optometrists and team members to ensure seamless patient care
• Travel between the Andrew Watkins and Evans & McMahon practices as required

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who brings:

• A genuine passion for patient care and customer service
• Previous retail or optical dispensing experience (highly regarded)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence learning and sharing product knowledge
• A positive, friendly, and professional attitude
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a collaborative team mindset
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, public holidays, and late trade when required
• A willingness and ability to travel between Andrew Watkins and Evans & McMahon locations
• A current driver's licence and reliable transport is highly desirable but not required
