Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and repair procedures.
• Ability to accurately identify and rectify mechanical faults.
• Experience operating automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team with a strong safety mindset.
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, identify and rectify mechanical faults across a wide range of motor vehicles.
• Undertake scheduled servicing, routine maintenance and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect, repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and steering.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts and verify repairs with road tests.
• Document vehicle inspections, servicing and repairs accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain tools and the workshop in a clean, safe condition.
