DURKS CAFE & EATERY (EASTERN CREEK), operated by ASYNC IT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD T/A DURKS CAFE & EATERY (EASTERN CREEK), is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will plan, prepare and cook food to a high standard while assisting with the efficient day-to-day operation of the kitchen. This role offers the chance to contribute to menu planning and work within a busy café environment.

Competenze

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent/higher qualification.
• At least 1-3 years of full-time relevant experience as a Chef.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to plan and organise food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen.
• Ability to supervise and train junior kitchen staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to food quality, presentation and consistency.

Mansioni

• Plan, prepare and cook food according to recipes, menus and required quality standards.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining consistent taste, quality and presentation.
• Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal menu items.
• Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
• Organise food preparation, cooking, garnishing and plating.
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
• Manage kitchen stock and monitor inventory levels.
• Assist with ordering ingredients, supplies and kitchen requirements.
• Maintain effective relationships with food and ingredient suppliers.
• Ensure food is stored, prepared and handled in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff where required.
• Monitor kitchen operations during service and ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently.
• Respond to customer feedback and assist with maintaining high food quality standards.
• Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed.
• Work effectively as part of a professional kitchen team.
