Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is essential.
• Experience in Japanese cuisine would be highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and commercial kitchen operations.
• Good understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Ability to prepare and present food consistently to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present Japanese dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portions and serving temperatures.
• Prepare ingredients and organise workstations before and during service.
• Follow recipes, procedures and portion control guidelines.
• Ensure timely service during busy periods and minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and storage areas and comply with safety procedures.
